Bad Bill Lambeer for 1
This play is a variation of the slip screen play “Bad Bill” (Play #17 from the playbook) that is set up
to get a lay-up. The basic concept of the play is to get the SHOOTER’s defender out of position, which
will allow a lane to the basket for a lay-up.
Instructions
· Run “Bad Bill” (Play #17).
· In “Bad Bill” the SHOOTER’s defender will have to scramble to recover from helping on the POINT.
· With the SHOOTER’s defender running hard to recover on defense, it only takes a small fake for that defender to go running by, which will open up the lane to the basket for a lay-up.
Tips
· The key is to make the SHOOTER’s defender really have to run hard to recover. If you have been shooting 2-point shots the whole game, the defender will be running hard to take away the 2-point shot.
