Draft Results - CGL11
Season 11 of the Closed Gym League kicked off May 8th with yet another exciting and unpredictable draft. Draft order was selected through a lottery where each player was given a certain percentage of "ping pong balls" based on their Power Ranking (points+rebounds+assists).
Once the names were drawn each GM SELECTED what position they wanted to draft from. Chris Braier chose the #1 slot and selected Josh Metzger out of Denmark via Wisconsin Lutheran College. With the #2 pick James Hischke selected perennial all star Eric Melka, a former Hart Park league standout.
Steve Kohl and Derrick Canada made their choices at #3 and #4 selecting Tom Becker and Matt Rawley respectively and Scott Meerstein picked Craig Machut to round out the top five.
It seemed as though everyone walked away from the draft room relatively pleased with their squads, but you never know until the teams hit the court. And that's why they play the games...
