Draft Results - CGL16
Season 16 of the Closed Gym League kicked off September 4th with yet another exciting and unpredictable draft. Draft order was selected through a lottery where each player was given a certain percentage of "ping pong balls" based on their Power Ranking (points+rebounds+assists).
After names were selected GMs then chose what position they wanted to start their draft from. Steve Kohl ended up with the #1 overall pick, which he used to select Quincey Moman out of UW-Parkside. Eric Melka and Matt Becker made their choices at #2 and #3 selecting BJ LaRue and Derrick Canada respectively.
Jesse Capelle and Joel Sobanski came in next to round out the top 5. It seemed as though everyone walked away from the draft room relatively pleased with their squads, but you never know until the teams hit the court. And that's why they play the games...
