DRAFT RESULTS - Closed Gym League: Season 3
Season 3 of the Closed Gym League kicked off September 30th with an exciting and very unpredictable draft. With the first pick in the CGL3 draft Josh Metzger selected Steve Showalter. Stepping up to the stage to be welcomed to the team Showalter said, "The jersey looks good, but I think mine is going to be a little tight." The rest of the first two rounds went pretty much as expected with the likes of Derrick Canada and Ray Perine going quickly. The most shocked expression of the night came from the 4th pick himself. After many efforts to call the league GMs to get the inside story he was finally put on speaker phone. After being told he was picked 4th Greg Zens exlaimed, "WHAT!, I thought I was a 6th rounder for sure." As the rounds passed it became much more difficult as a good many names on the list were unknown to many of the GM's, but after much deliberation by everyone the draft finally came to a close at 10:42pm. Once again Bestor and Browarski wanted to hit the town to pre-celebrate what is sure to be a successful season. And once again they drank alone.
