Steak
This is the only play we run that is not designed to get a shot. Instead it is the play we call if we are looking to get a switch for defensive purposes. In a number of the plays above, I indicated that a tip was to get the worst defender on a specific player in your offensive set. To get that switch, we call “Steak” and our players name who has the defender on them that we want to get a switch on.

Tips
· The most effective way to get a switch is for the ball handler to dribble as fast as he can over the screen set for the purposes of getting a switch. There are very few defenders who can stick with a fast dribbler over a screen.
