Most Valuable Player- Brett is the glue that holds a team together who likes to mix it up with the other team's big man (or anyone for that matter). He set career highs in points, rebounds and assists in helping FKBC win the title. "It was a pleasure to play this season with my FKBC teammates. It was a tremendousbly balanced group of guys...well Matt and Gunnar are a little imbalanced, but we got the job done. There's nothing sweeter
than bringing home the CGL trophy as imaginary as it may be." |
 |
Rookie of the Year- Kyle Plath averaged 24 points in helping FKBC win the championship. "I knew coming in to the season that I had to find my role on this team. Luckily for me that role was scoring points." After smacking his head on the floor tonight he was asked, "Do you know where you are?" His reply: "Aurora." "What are you doing right now?" "I'm lying on a hospital bed." Scary stuff to be sure
but perhaps the ROTY award will help to ease the pain. |
 |
Notable Season - Andy Duncan put up career numbers specifically in shooting percentage setting CGL records at 68.1% (64/94) on all field goals and 61.6% (45/73) from three. |
 |
GM of the Year- "When it comes to GMsmanship I think I have the formula down. Draft guys with cool names like Gunnar and you're sure to win the CGL title." |
 |
Walton's Words of Wisdom "What a pathetic play from a pathetic human being." |
*All-Stars were voted team MVPs by their teammates.
*All-CGL Players received MVP votes.

he won't release my rights." |

The Legend of the Closed Gym
It's been said that back in the late 80's-early 90's, a group of 10 or more men
would gather together in the name of basketball. These men were asked to
come to these so-called Open Gyms because they 1) were reliable, 2) were
competitive, 3) would cause no arguments, and 4) loved to play. Because
phone calls were placed to specific individuals on an invitation only
basis, a significant fact was brought to the operator's attention: "Hey,
these aren't Open Gyms." And thus the Closed Gyms were born.
