Gus Macker World Champs 2003! - The Flying Knueppel Brothers
celebrate after Kon hit the winning free throw in the World Championship game. The
victory was over Wray's BP from Columbus, OH, which is one of the top teams we have ever
played. The final score was 20-18. Check out the Season Recap
for a more detailed account of the Championship weekend. |

The Flying Knueppel Brothers! - This is one of our favorite pictures because
this is the way that most of our opponents see us. Would you think you had to play hard against a team that
looks like this? |

|
 |
Klint in Action at the World Championships - As usual, Klint gets
an even match-up in the post! We played Maish Auto Body from Indiana in the final game of
the winner's bracket. The big guy pictured here started out the game with a tomahawk dunk
right over Klay. We got on a little roll and we ended up winning the game 20-10. All during
the game, the big guy kept saying to me "Man, you guys are good". |

 |
Klay in Action at the World Championships - This is a great picture
of our play "Iverson" run to perfection. This is about as wide open a shot as we got while
playing against Wray's BP during the tournament. Notice Kon with the outstanding screen to
free up Klay for the shot. |
| |
|
 |
Kole in Action at the World Championships - This is a good picture
of Kole in action at the World Championships. The tournament was very well run, and there
were great crowds at all the games. If you look closely at this picture, you can see the
first Knueppel Brutha, Carlton Valentine, in the background enjoying the game. We have had
some wonderful times with Carlton over the years both on and off the basketball court. Carlton
went into the Gus Macker Hall of Fame this year. |

|
 |
Knueppel Kids in Hilton Head - One of the best things about our
tournament travels is spending time as a family. Our weekend in Hilton Head was a great
family adventure. This picture of Caitlin Knueppel (Klay's daughter), Jakob Knueppel (Klay's),
and Mack Knueppel (Klint's) sitting by the Top Men's court reflects how much fun the weekend was. |

|
 |
Women in Hilton Head - This is another picture that shows just how much
fun we had as a family in Hilton Head - Chrissie Henning (Klay's sister in-law), Kellye Knueppel
(our sister, and a founding member of the Flying Knueppel Brothers), and Lisa Knueppel (Klay's wife). |

following the World Championship victory in Hilton Head. Starting in the back row: Chrissie Henning,
Uncle Denny Henning, Kathy Henning, Amy Knueppel, Madalyn Knueppel, David Henning, Paul Knueppel, Kellye
Knueppel, Lisa Knueppel, Barbara Knueppel. Front row: Kon, Klint, Mack Knueppel, Mandy George, Kole,
Caitlin Knueppel, Klay, and Jakob Knueppel. |

New York City Champs 2003! - The Flying Knueppel Brothers
won the 2003 Top Gun Hoop-It-Up Championship in New York City. There were a lot
of very tough teams in this tournament, but the gods of basketball where looking
favorably on us and most of the bounces went our way. We pretty much dominated the
tournament field, outscoring our opponents 112-55 and finishing with a 7-0 record.
We are pictured here with the scorekeeper from the Top Gun court, Deborah Bell. |

|
 |
New York City Action - This is a good picture of action
in the semi-final game of the New York City Hoop-It-Up. As usual, there was a
very minimal size advantage for our opponents. Their starters were 7-foot, 6-7,
and 6-3, with a 6-8 guy coming off of the bench. However, they had never seen us
play before and quickly fell behind 8-1. Knueppels win 16-10. |

|
 |
Belding Champs 2003! - The Flying Knueppel Brothers
won the 2003 Top Men's Championship in Belding, MI. It was a tough tournament,
as we had to play the Top Men's Champs from the last two years in Belding, and
the reigning Peoria Top Men's Champs. Big victories against some tough teams put
smiles on our faces, as we took this picture with Gus Macker on the Dream Court
in Belding. |

 |
Rainbow in Findlay, OH - The Flying Knueppel Brothers
are well known for the number of different color shirts that we wear when
playing in tournaments. A rare occurrence is when we go 'rainbow' for a game.
We really enjoy this picture with the American flag flying in the background.
The picture was taken just prior to an exhibition game against a local radio
station in Findlay. |

The Knueppels in Findlay, OH - The Flying Knueppel Brothers
finished 3rd in a great Top Men's Division at the Findlay, OH Gus Macker in August
of 2003. Here's a snapshot of the brothers in action on the opening day of the
tournament. This is a great Macker tournament that is run by some outstanding
people in Findlay. Thanks to Lu, Todd, and the gang for a wonderful weekend. |

San Diego TV Interview - We made the San Diego
evening news on 3 different TV stations following our participation in
the Hoops at the Beach tournament. This is a picture of us being interviewed
by Fox 6. Check out the video clips page
which has the full clip from an interview we did with KUSI in San Diego. |

Mary Ann Gwatkin - Team picture with Mary Ann
Gwatkin, the original Macker neighbor. This picture was taken on the
driveway where the Gus Macker tournament started 30 years ago in Lowell,
MI. Mary Ann Gwatkin is a member of the Gus Macker Hall of Fame, and
is considered to be one of the 25 greatest Mackers of all time. |

Ludington Shoot-around - The Flying Knueppel
Brothers hold early morning shoot-arounds. This is the 7 AM shoot-around
in Ludington, MI in 2000. If you would like to shoot around with us,
join us at around 7 AM Saturday morning at our next tournament. |

Sterling Gus Macker Championship 2000 - This is the team
photo taken after the second of the two back-to-back Gus Macker Championships
the Knueppels won in Sterling, IL. Anyone who loves a great 3-on-3 tournament
should visit the Sterling Macker at least once in their career. |
